Here at LAPLAND FORESTATION FUNDS RY we believe in matching our words with our actions.

We are a mission-driven non-profit association aiming to support forestation of open areas or areas in bad condition. By connecting mindful people and organizations, we are taking the road to a greener future.

  • Reducing carbon emissions

    Forests are a natural remedy for global warming. There are at least 22 thousand hectares of areas in Finnish Lapland that can be used to increase global carbon uptake through afforestation and reforestation.

  • Supporting states in their climate goals

    Forest restoration is a challenging task. Many areas in Finnish Lapland are owned by people with no governmental funding. Helping them by raising money is one way of making the world a greener place.

  • Striving for greener future

    Words create worlds. With our mission in mind, we strive to find new ways for dealing with environmental issues of today. One of our goals is to further our agenda by climate change advocacy efforts.

Making change

Our real strength lies in the actions we take. We receive funding from association members and private donors. Any person can support our mission with a significant impact.
